Tuesday Challenge and some DT News...

Another belief of mine; that everyone else my age is an adult, whereas I am merely in disguise. -Margaret Atwood
Hello Out there in Blogland!!! I had a busy weekend, lots of housework, took my son to the movies, shopped a little and made quite a few things, Christmas Gifties, Cards...but all of it has to wait, to be revealed later. I woke up yesterday morning in SO much pain...usually my HAE only flares up every month or so, but this attack came just 2 weeks after my last one...seriously pisses me off! I lose 1-2 days everytime, just laying in bed curled up in a ball in pain or drugged up! UGH! Good news is while I still hurt today O am sitting up, so things are looking up at least!
Today is Tuesday, so that means it is time for a JBelle Tuesday Challenge! This week we were to make something with a Snowflake or Christmas theme...Easy enough! I just recently received my Dec MS Living and it had the cutest paper tree in it, so I decided to take a stab at it. I want to make more and see if I can be more precise in my folds, but I do like how this one turned out!
I used my Snowy Jo Snowflake Soiree (by Imaginisce) paper for this one, I think I may do a green one and display them together on my Hearth...
To make your own:
  • Using an adjustable Circle Cutter make 1 each 2, 3, 4 , 5 and 6" circles
  • Fold each circle in half 4 times using a bone folder (I foulnd the fourth time to be difficult, so I unfolded it and made the fold between each previous score line)
  • Place smallest circle on the pointed end of a wooden skewer, secure with hot glue gun
  • working your up the sizes add each new layer and secure with glue on the underside
  • insert bottom of skewer in a spool (I used a small wooden pot I painted and decorated with ribbon and buttons) measure and cut skewer so only the spool is visible, secure skewer in spool with glue
  • add a dot of glue to the top of the tree and add a decorative bead
