Pictures on Canvas...

I recently joined a Photo Walk in Downtown Boise, it was specifically tailored to view, photograph and learn about the Historic buildings we have downtown. I have always loved taking photos of flowers and buildings, so one of my favorite shots is a mix of the two. I loved these pretty geranium baskets.

Rather than just print the photo on 8x10 photo paper and framing it, I took advantage of an offer to get one of my Pictures on Canvas from Easy Canvas Prints and had it printed 16" x 20". Ummm, WOW! It can out so crisp and clean, I Love it!!! I ordered it as a Christmas gift, but, I may keep it!!! ;)

I love the feel the canvas texture gives a photo. I am no artist, but this makes me feel like one!! :D

I had the edges done with a continuation of the photo itself, you can choose a solid side, a mirror image of the edge or like mine. You can also choose a 1' 1/2" deep side if you want.

Rose Hip in Fall...

Sorry, no card today, but I wanted to show you a recent picture I took a the local Nature Center. I was playing around with the "Bokeh" background (the blurry look in the distance.) This Rose Hip is a bold bright sign of Fall to me and I loved the way it turned out! I added a soft distressed edge overlay that I picked up *somewhere*

I added this pic to my OpenScrapbook gallery and used it for the Autumn Splendor challenge. If you love photography and digital scrapbooking you should check out OpenScrapbook, it is a wonderful site with LOTS of fun stuff and Tons of tutorials and tricks!!!

More from the 4th...

Now some pics from the camping portion of our weekend...Connor had a BLAST! He got to cast and reel in a fishing pole (LOL...he didn't have the patience to wait for a bite,) and he watched the guy next to us pull one in (the gentleman even Gave Connor the fish after cleaning it!!!) We took a lovely hike at the campsite with Stunning views and beautiful foliage, plus about a million butterflies.

My Favorite Things...

My friend Michelle has a fun Challenge on her blog...each week she challenges us to show our Favorite Things. Well, this week's Favorite thing is actually from two weeks ago because I just got the picture from my Mom's camera...but I wanted to post it anyway.

Thursday nights during the Summer the Boise Botanical Gardens has a concert, each week is a diffferent band and over the years we have heard a wonderful variety of music. We hadn't gone yet this year so 2 weeks ago we decided to grab my friend's daughter and her Grandma and take them with. We had a wonderful picnic, a walk thru the gardens and then the adults enjoyed listening to the band while the two kids built a volcano in the dirt.

I snapped quite a few fun pictures of Connor and his little friend Ava (or Miley as once told Connor she likes to be called,) but this is Definitely My Favorite Thing from the entire night...
