Boxes in the mail...

I have a question for all you stampers...is it possible to mail a box of goodies, or gifts, or even return something you borrowed without adding a little card of some sort?

My friend Edie and I have been discussing this phenomenon off and on for a few months. We will both sit on a package for weeks until we have time to make a card to put in it. Why can't we just write on a post-it? Or one of the hundreds of free cards or notepads a person gets from charities? Is it just the need to use what we have? Is it a need to personalize the package? Maybe, it is just simply that fellow stampers "Get" the handmade card/gift idea and will appreciate the effort and time put into that little 4X5 piece of art.

I made this little 4 1/2" square card to stick in a box I am mailing tomorrow. Had I made this last night, or used one of the cards from my stash, I could have mailed that box today when I took 2 HUGE boxes to the PO.....

The layout for this card was inspired by Tracy at Inky Doodles and the color combination started as 2 of my favorite colors (Celery and Violet) then evolved after a looksie at my friend Justine's Stamp a Stack cards for February.
