Laid up....

Without mysteries, life would be very dull indeed. -Charles de Lint

I have been laid up...or down rather, for the last few days and have nothing new to post.

I did get a few Valentines from some very sweet friends,

as well as a Flower delivery from my Business partner who is also a single mother and knows how fun a Valentine's Day with no Valentine can be.

I have an Unknown Hereditary Condition that my Mother, Grandmother and Sister all also suffer from, not something I usually broadcast, but thought I might mention it in the hopes someone else has experienced or knows what it might be, as my doctors are stumped.
So, here is what happens, every few months about the same time as my monthly, but Not Always, and usually during a stressful period in my life, I get a SEVERE (I mean Worse than labor pains) pain in my abdomen, usually starts out like I am Really hungry, but quickly proceeds to a very real pain running around my waist area. It is an inner pain, hard to explain, but the closest I can get is like I have Hives on the Outside of my inner organs and when I move, breathe or shift they rub together......imagine you had a cut on the inside of 2 fingers and when you moved they rubbed together. Anyway, very graphic, sorry, just trying to get answers. My Mom had her appendix out and I was tested for PID and
Endometriosis with everything coming up negative. The Only medication that has ever helped was pain meds for the pain.
So, all this horrible pain lasts anywhere from a day to 3 days and is followed by another 2-3 days of being Very careful how I walk or laugh as I am still a bit bruised feeling around my middle.

If anyone has Any ideas PLEASE HELP!

  1. So sorry to hear that you have not been feeling that great. I'm not at all sure about the problem you mentioned. It sounds very painful though. I know myself that sometimes during my "monthly" time I will get severe stomach pains whenever I drink or eat any milk related products. My stomach muscles just knot up something horrible. I've read that women can experience lactose intolerence during their monthly time so I think that is exactly what I have. I also get "migraines with the aura" during my monthly time as well. I really hope and will pray that you will be able to find an answer to this problem soon. Ida

  2. Sorry to hear about your problem. It is no fun dealing with something like this. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You must have very talented friends; their cards are adorable!! Just lovely!!!!
