Busy Days...

Where the spirit does not work with the hand there is no art. -Leonardo Di Vinci

I have been so busy the last few days, and having some sleepless nights...maybe that is what has given me this serious case of Stamper's Block...I worked the other night on a card for the Coffee and Cream Challenge...YICK...not my best work!

I ended up making a few more of a card I made awhile back b/c I had some of the Background all made up.

The background on this card is made using the Smackin' Acetate Technique (I think that is what it is called.) The stamp from Inky Antics...my Divine Secret Sister got it for me last round! THANKS Vivian!!!! I watercolored the image with my Aquapainter and reinkers. The cardstock colors are SU's Vintage Violet and Bordering Blue. I used Vintage Violet, Bordering Blue, Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip and Blush Blossom inks. The stitched ribbon is also from SU, as well as the Ticket Corner Punch. I love adding the little sticky jewels in the corner.

Background How To:

Needs:
8 1/2X11 Acetate (window Sheet)
2 colors Reinkers or Water based Markers and water bottle
2 pieces Glossy Cardstock cut to 4 1/4" X 5 1/2"

Fold Acetate in half, score.

Open acetate, drop in a few drops of each color randomly or scribble with markers (do not mix colors) If using markers spray lightly with a spritzer.

close the acetate, smoosh around a little to spread ink around

Open acetate, place 2 pieces Glossy CS back to back inside the acetate

Close acetate back up, Smoosh

You will now have 2 pieces of colored BG paper!
