Where have I been???

Even when opportunity knocks a man still has to get up off his seat and open the door. -Unknown

I've been here, just in no mood to DO anything.

But things are looking up! I am not tired, I stamped and I got a PM on SCS from someone I truly admire asking for my help....I won't go into detail, but I am Thrilled to be of assistance!!!

I did get some things stamped, my SIL's BDay was yesterday, my Brother's is Saturday (no Foolin') and we did a dinner lest night for them both, so I needed cards for both of them from me and my parents...

My SIL LOVES orange...I no likey...so it was a Tough assignment. Here are the results:

This card is my least Fave, which means everyone else will like it best. :) I think it is all too much in the middle, I like things on corners better...my Mom picked this one to give her. I used an Orange Paper from a Stack I got years ago...there is Very little pattern, just a hint of lines...Cuttle Bugged it with the Textile Folder, then sanded the paper to highlight the design.

I used Asela's GENIUS idea for the sentiment tag cutting the center out of a Scalloped Square, then I sponged the leftovers and used them behind the Primas. I used a Decorative Brad for the center.

This is a CASE of the Red card I did for stampinsars' contest, I used Cameo Coral and Fabriano paper. The swirl is Clear embossed, then I went over it with a Watercolor Brush and more Cameo Coral, the butterfly is painted with Cameo Coral and Ruby Red.

This one was fun, and I think I like it best...I used the Textile Folder again, and highlighted it with White Craft ink, the CS is Cameo Coral and Chocolate Chip. I used my Giga Scallop Oval punch, pierced it with my Paper Piercer and then highlighted the holes with a Signo White Gel Pen. the stamp is one of the new $1 stamps from Michael's. The hat pin was something I got on sale at Archiver's, not sure who makes them. The little tabs are punched Ovals that I glued together, then cut, I added a Sticky Gem to each one.

  1. So glad you are in the mood to stamp again :)...I just spotted your Wild Fairy Lily card that you uploaded to the SCS Gallery and it is gorgeous!

I hope the help you have been asked to give to the fellow SCS'er is to become a member of the Dirty Dozen...would love to see your work there.

p.s. In my opinion, orange should be removed from the color chart...I don't ever do Halloween!
