Slow buds the pink dawn like a rose From out night's gray and cloudy sheath; Softly and still it grows and grows, Petal by petal, leaf by leaf. -Susan Coolidge
Sometimes you make a mistake and just cringe. After all that I RUINED it????? What a waste of paper!!!! And you throw it in the trash in a fit...but then...you think...is it Really ruined???? Can I salvage it?
This is what happened to me tonight...I stamped the images and sentiments, glued the layers and then decided to color the little clear sticky "pearls" with a light pink Sharpie...the color barely showed up...so I thought, Hmmm, darker pink??? EEEEEEEEEK, that pink was Florescent!!! Like 80's T-shirt Pink, ICK! So, I reached for my Copic Markers...colored it with a light pink...that erased most of the Hot Pink! UGH....so...I decided to stick them on clear, what the heck...then I could just outline them in the light pink Copic Marker...Voila! a touch of Pink, no? NO! there was JUST enough Hot Pink left to come off the edges with the Copic!!! ACK! But...wait! it was blending!!! WOO HOO!!! I blended all arounf the edges and wow...I LOVED IT!

Wow! You would never know this wasn't your intention right from the beginning! It looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI would say that this is a GREAT "mistake". Your card is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI go through the same thing! Just when I'm done with my card, I do something crazy to it and ruin it. I'm the sort that refuses to throw anything away especially after working so hard on it. I will do everything I can possibly do to salvage a card. Most cards are salvageble and you did a WONDERFUL job! Your card looks FABULOUS!!
