Challenging Challenge...

Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew. -Cicely Tyson

It's Friday! In My Little Blogland that means Bloggers Challenge! This week was a sketch, which I usually LOVE. Sketch challenges are my favorite, for some reason though, I struggled with this one???

Here is the sketch if you would like to play along and make sure to click on the Bloggers Challenge Blinkie on my Challenge Bar over to the left <-------- to see what the other ladies created....

I pulled out my previously uninked Inkadinkado Lanterns set and decided to go witht he Asian Paper Latern image...then I remembered I had an unopened pack of 7 Gypsies Sushi paper, so I went from there. The zig zag along the top is maybe what is bothering me about this card, I shouldn't have used a black pen, plus the sentiment is apparently mounted crooked, when I stamped it in both colors for a shadow effect they both ended up crooked! UGH.

I actually think I like the inside of my card better than the outside!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Lanterns (
Inka,) Thinking of You (Stampendous)
Paper: Sushi (7 Gypsies,) Sahara Sand (SU)
Ink: Pumpkin Spice (Colorbox Chalk,) Versamark
Misc:
White Gel Pen, Small Swirls H (Zva Creative,) Collage Flowers (Prima,) Jewel Stickers

  1. Rachel! The inside AND the outside of your card are both wonderful. I love the bling and flowers you added around your focal image which is simple and clean. Didn't even notice the crooked until you pointed it out! Shh-h-h-h!

  2. Very nice - I love Asian themed cards. The patterns you chose are so pretty and the lantern is a fabulous image. I like your flower as well. What I really like is that you weren't afraid to post even though you weren't totally happy with how it turned out.

  3. I love this! I have got to use that stamp set soon - it's been sitting uninked and neglected. So sad!
