Colors of the Flag...

You're a grand old flag, You're a high flying flag...And forever in peace may you wave.

After a month long hiatus for all the Birthday Celebrations over at Elzybells we are Back with our Bi-Weekly Challenges!!! This time around the Challenge was to use the colors of your country's flag...I don't know if I have told you all this, but I am NOT a Red/White/Blue fan...I love my country and proudly wave the flag, but I don't wear it together or craft with it...it is a Very difficult challenge for me, but that is the point, right? To CHALLENGE you to do something outside your norm.

So, here it is, my take on the Grand Old Flag...

I used a touch of the Marrekech paper I had out under the image (which is popped up on glue dots,) but decided at the last minute to also use some older Stars and Stripes paper I had in my stash...I have No idea who makes it...maybe Flair Designs???

I stamped the Blossom Bunch in Brocade Blue and colored the petals with Kohr-i-noor pencils, added some white gel pen to the centers and then dotted some Stardust Stickles on the petals and around the flower (kind of a fireworks look?!) The ribbon is from my stash as well, I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the ribbon to the inside of the card, then I made a loop of the ribbon and stuck it under the flat piece, with the loop part on the bottom, I wrapped the ends over the flat piece, thru the loop and pulled tight...I added another glue dot under it to keep it secure.

Supplies:
Stamps:
Blossom Bunch (Elzybells)
Paper: Unknown Star Paper, Marrekech (Basic Grey,) Very Vanilla, Ruby Red (SU)
Ink: Brocade Blue (SU,)
Kohr-i-noor Pencils
Misc: Stardust Stickles, White Gel Pen, Gingham Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Pop Up Glue Dots

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be out of town this weekend, but will schedule my Blogger's Challenge and Cupcake Challenge posts. See you all on Monday!!!
