Thanks on the Fly...

Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains. -Henry David Thoreau
Good Morning, it has been days since I posted a new project, sorry about that, I have been reading...I finish The Kite Runner (LOVED it! I was Bawling so hard on the last page that I almost couldn't see the words...in a good way though!) Then I read a really quick lighthearted Evanovich novel and now I am reading a fun Sci-Fi/Fantasy book.

I needed to get busy and make a special order Man card, so I put the book down last night and whipped up this fun Fly Fishing Thank You card. (Thanks Linds for letting me borrow your set!!!)

I stamped the image on Kraft Cardstock using Rich Cocoa Memento ink, then wrinked it up, distressed the edges and sponged on more ink, mounted that on some distressed Dark Chocolate cs. The base is more Kraft Cardstock with some fly images stamped randomly...the edges are also sponged with more ink. The twill is just simply knotted to keep the card as masculine as possible. The image is popped up on Adhesive Foam Dots. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

I just added a simple fish to the inside for lots of writing room...Supplies:
Stamps: Fly Fishing (SU,) Everyday Greetings (
Inkadinkado)
Paper: Kraft & Dark Chocolate Cardstock
Ink:
Rich Cocoa (Memento)
Misc:
Brown Twill, Adhesive Foam Dots

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You always manage to make really great masculine cards. Love the neutral colors you did with this and such a neat affect on the front of the card.
