Button Heart...

The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart. -Unknown

I saw Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge this week and thought, Hearts? No thanks! (Not a heart/Valentines fan) but then I was chatting with Michelle and an idea popped into my head, so I went with it!

The card is Ultra simple, if you don't count the 45 minutes I spent trying to get the buttons "just right." I used a simple Kraft card base, added a simple Verve sentiment and then got working on adding the buttons with glue dots. I totally messed up while scoring the card and cut thru half of the spine by using my cutting blade instead of my scoring blade, so I punched a scallop edge on some burgundy cardstock with a Martha Stewart Edger (All Martha Stewart on Sale until it's gone!!!) and folded it over the spine to *bandage* the cut.

Supplies:
Stamps: Fairy Tales (Verve)
Paper: Kraft Burgundy CS
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Misc: Martha Stewart Edger, Vintage Buttons, Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by! Remember tomorrow is the last day to apply for the Design Team Call! (<------ Click for details) Saturday at 9 pm MT is the deadline for Cupcake Inspiration Challenge entries!

  11. I LOVE buttons. My grandma used to have a tin of buttons that she would cut off every piece of clothing that had been worn to rags (as all clothing was for us back then). I would spend hours just sorting through her buttons and picking out my favorites, arranging them by color, size, number of button holes, etc. Yup, I love buttons! Such a cute way to utilize them!
