Decorate a Tree...

Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration is being wreathed in smiles. ~Unknown It's finally time to decorate for Christmas! I am Very strict about Not putting up Any Christmas lights or decor until after Thanksgiving! So now that Turkey is behind us I can't wait to start creating the Winter Wonderland that is Christmas at the Baird's! :)

One of my favorite wintry scenes is the quiet, lonely, empty forest, covered in a thick blanket of snow with one single pine tree all lit up with colorful Christmas lights. Have I ever actually Seen that in real life? No...but I have on computer wallpapers and Christmas cards, so I wanted to recreate that for my cards today.

This week's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge is sponsored by Amber Ink and the Sweeties and I got to play with the super Awesome Tis the Season! set. I love the wonky tree in this set! :) I used one of their new iPapers for the snowy sky in my scene as well...

One card wasn't enough this week, so I grabbed a recent digital image purchase and made another...this one all covered in pink...

I love this sentiment...

  1. Same here - no decorations until the next day! However, I must admit that hanging lights/garland outside in 25 temps-the neighbors who decorated in the 60 temp weather seemed much smarter. lol
