OK...I had to try again, I LOVE this image and I want my card to do it justice! I like the card I made yesterday, but I think the background paper is just "off," I was pushing it to use the paper I had. I need to learn to pick the PP first, then stamp!
So, I decided to go green, more monochromatic and take out the coloring on the santa. I still think I have some work to do before it is Perfected...the snowflakes are a bit Stark, I need punches so I can do vanilla CS and glitter them myself. :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Snowy Woods (Artistic Outpost)
Ink: Garden Green, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Fruitcake (Basic Grey)
Misc: Snowflakes (Jolee's,) Ribbon, Stardust Stickles
Thanks for stopping by!
Is it sad that for a minute there I thought you typed Sark, LOL. I do like it in green and way to justify your need for snowflake punches. Might as well get the new PTI set while you're at it :)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful in green, I love it!
ReplyDeleteInteresting, in the feedblitz it came out in full color. You may need to try uploading again?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love it. I was touched by the image the moment it came up on the screen. It tugged at my heart when I read it. I never met Grandpa Baird, but I hope I get a card anyway ;-)

ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!! I looooove the image and the colors are just sooo pretty! Awesome Rach!
ReplyDeletebeautiful card, and thanks for sharing why you love these images. I know the poem is not Christmasy but when I designed this set of stamps, I just kept thinking about a little old man like Santa not giving up...too much to do...too many people to see...it's nice to see you interpreting our stamps for your life. Thanks for the beautiful cards and the lovely words.
ReplyDeleteThis one is just as wonderful, but of course, in a very different aspect of the image. So classic.
